“This year is a difficult one for the independent cultural sector – the one that the festival represents through the selected shows -, instability and continuous reconfiguration are the hallmarks of these months, challenges to which we try to respond creatively and flexibly. The selection of shows in this edition of Caleido continues the directions developed in previous years – cultural and ethnic diversity, dialogue and constructive debate – with a focus on a number of themes that we find relevant in the current context: stereotypes, feminism, communities, recent history. The theme of the festival – society – escapes the trap of generalization through the magnifying glasses we choose to apply to it, with a stake in stimulating the plurality of perspectives and in encouraging the positive confrontation of ideas. ”

The fourth edition of the multicultural performing arts festival Caleido, which was to take place online from November 27 to December 1, is postponed for the spring of 2021. The constant concern of the organizers for the participants’safety and health motivates the difficult decision to reschedule the entire artistic calendar of the event.
